This is the second volume in the The Cheyenne Indians: Their History and Lifeways collection by George Bird Grinnell. This book examines the Warmaking and sarrior societies, healing practices, and responses to European diseases, religious beliefs adn rituals, and legends and prophecies of the Cheyenne people. Also included are appendixes on early CHeyenne village sites, the formation of the Quilling Society, and notes on Cheyenne songs, in addition to photographs and an index. This is a must have for any Native American Library.
