interpreting the artifacts and material culture of the American West.
The

non-profit 501c3 status with the IRS and the U.S. Department of Treasury.
Donors that contribute to the Custer Battlefield Museum may deduct their
contributions as provided in section 170 of the IRS code.
Bequests, legacies, devises, transfers or gifts to the Custer Battlefield
Museum or for it’s use are tax deductible for Federal Estate and Gift Tax
Purposes, if they meet the acceptable provisions.
Giving
Gifts are welcomed at all levels. There
are giving societies for donors making gifts of $30 or more that include
membership in the Museum. Gifts can be in the form of cash or stock and can be
tax-deductible. Annual gifts support the operations and programs of the Museum.
Major
Gifts
Major gifts are gifts of $25,000 or more to the museum.
Benefits are available to major gift donors. For donors making gifts of $50,000
or more, naming opportunities within the Museum are made available.
Endowment
Gifts
The earnings from the endowment fund are used to support
programs within the Museum. Endowment gifts are critical to the future of the
Museum, and there are special recognition and benefits for endowment donors.
Corporate
Sponsorships

through the Museum. These include education programs and traveling exhibits.
Sponsorships start at $100 with benefits and recognition for the corporation.
